30 Jun DIY Lash (and Brow) Serum With Essential Oils
What girl doesn’t want longer, fuller lashes?! I’ve been reading that castor oil is great for maintaining healthy lashes and brows and a lash extension artist told me she recommends it to clients to strengthen their lashes before getting lash extensions. I’ve been testing a simple DIY serum on my lashes and brows and I thought I’d share with you as well.
What I have noticed so far:
Castor oil is great for removing make-up! (Especially my favorite Beautycounter mascara, which is very long-wearing). Also, the outer half of my brows already look fuller after a week of use. That is the area that often looks a bit thin and prompted me to start this experiment in the first place.

To make the serum, I filled a 2 oz glass dropper bottle with mostly castor oil, a few drops of vitamin E oil (You can even pop open a capsule if you have one) and a couple of drops of lavender essential oil. That’s it! To use it, apply to your brows and lash line at night after your moisturizer.
When I searched for oils to stimulate hair growth, there were other oils mentioned, but I wasn’t sure how they’d be around the eye area, so I stuck with lavender. If you try it with any other oils and have success, let me know! I’ll keep you posted on how it works in case you want to make your own. Also, if the DIY thing isn’t your style, Plume Science has a non-toxic lash and brow serum I’ve been dying to try.
