DIY Make-up Brush Cleaner with Essential Oils

Last week, I shared how to deep clean your make-up brushes.  Today, I thought it would be fun to share how to make a quick DIY brush cleaner spray.  This spray is perfect to use between make-up colors, between deep cleanings, and to sanitize between clients if you are a make-up artist.

Supplies Needed:

  • 2 oz glass spray bottle
  • Alcohol
  • Distilled Water
  • Essential Oils

Fill the bottle approximately 2/3 with alcohol and 1/3 with distilled water.  Add 15 drops of your favorite cleansing essential oil.  I used lemon and grapefruit, but feel free to have fun and create your own blend.  Talk to your favorite essential oil guru for recommendations.

To Use:

Spray brush cleaner on a paper towel and wipe your brush over it to remove make-up.
