NFL’s Miami Dolphins play Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons on Thursday

Miami (Fla.)

Dolphins cornerback Will Hill is out for the season with a torn meniscus.

Coach Adam Gase told reporters the injury occurred during Thursday’s scrimmage and he’s hopeful Hill will be available for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Hill, the fourth overall pick in the 2017 draft, has started nine games in five seasons.

The 26-year-old has started every game since 2014 and was a first-team All-Pro in 2016.

Averaging 4.5 yards per reception, Hill is the third-leading receiver on Miami’s roster behind Marlon Moore and Jarvis Landry.

He’s currently on the reserve/designated for return list.
